Oppression Is A Real Thing

Millions of people know exactly who Norman Rockwell is, but they probably don’t have a clue as to what his life truly consisted of.  Norman Rockwell spent his entire lifetime inspiring people with his paintings that were just “unbelievably” well done. Several decades of work went into Norman Rockwell’s paintings and he literally inspired millions of people in his lifetime.

What people don’t know is that Mr. Rockwell was clinically depressed he was assessed by one of the world’s most prominent psychiatrists in his name Erick Erickson.  Erik Erikson is a leading historical psychiatrist similar to Sigmund Freud you could say. Erik Erikson was a German Jewish refugee who developed the concept of identity crisis and defined life as a multi-stage process of Social Development.

Mr. Rockwell was treated for depression anxiety and severe insecurity,  and I myself find that more than bizarre. I find it almost nearly impossible to believe.  When you look at Norman’s paintings and the excessive detail it is just mind-boggling to think a person with that kind of incredible skills, talent, and ability had depression, anxiety, and severe insecurity?

That really does not seem possible to me, however, it must have been very real to him, and became completely psychologically dependant on his doctor to the point he was no longer thinking for himself.

That is what therapy truly is…Becoming dependent on the therapy or treatment to the point that it consumes your life. Doctors would love to collect all of the money you will spend, Jesus will not cost you a dime.

Read the Bible…

Do not depend on the church to educate you about your personal relationship with Christ.

Mr. Rockwell and his wife Mary were both being treated for depression at the psychiatric hospital in a small town called Stockbridge Massachusetts. Eventually, Rockwell’s depression got so severe that they decided to move to Stockbridge Massachusetts so they could receive constant psychiatric treatment.  Mr. Rockwell spent nearly his entire Fortune in psychiatric medical bills at the Austen Riggs Center, Where the world-renowned psychiatrist Erik Erikson treated Mr. Rockwell and his wife  Mary.

Rockwell literally inspired millions of people of different ethnicities, creeds, and religions.

The man was an inspiration to the world. Even if people did not like his paintings there’s hardly anyone who wouldn’t recognize one of his paintings. His art appeared in advertisements and news Papers such as of Saturday Night Post.  I myself have been an artist for the majority of my life, and most people that create art have a vision or a concept that they are trying to convey to an audience.

When I read that Norman Rockwell had spent his life in depression and his spouse spent her life in alcoholism and depression, I was immediately inspired and found an entirely new outlook on Art and my own personal inspiration.

I would have never dreamed in a million years that a man this artistically confident and who had the ability to persuade literally millions of people to stay positive, entertained, and uplifted… was clinically depressed and assessed as a severe chronic depressive disorder.

Norman Rockwell produced more than 4,000 original Works in his lifetime,His net worth was 26 million dollars. Could you imagine being so depressed that you would spend 20+ million dollars for relief?

I find that Beyond fascinating, In fact, I can’t even mentally grasp that concept completely as I have made many attempts to understand the severity of this man’s condition.

I can’t imagine what it would be like to own 20 million dollars.  The last thing on earth I would do with 20 million dollars would be treated by a psychiatrist or a psychiatric hospital. Most people would believe 20 million dollars would cure anything except cancer.

What on Earth could possibly have caused a person to be so clinically depressed that they were willing to spend 20 million dollars in therapy?

More importantly, what is mind-blowing about the situation is after 5-10-15 million dollars with no relief no cure, and no advancements why would you continue to spend even more millions of dollars on therapy?

Even more disturbing he was referred to as a “pretty good Rabbi in real life”, and was a devout Catholic.

This man and his wife read the Bible, inspired people,  changed people’s lives literally, but they were unable to change the outcome of Their Own…

I wonder what his life would have been like if he and his wife had taken 20 million dollars bought a place someplace that was private and secluded where they could self-educate, create, and learn, and pray and study… I wonder if they had spent 40 hours a week in prayer and Bible study if they would have had to spend 20 million dollars on psychiatric therapy…I seriously doubt it.

I believe the answer to that is absolutely not…If a person was willing to dedicate 20 – 40 hours a week in prayer with the holy spirit, and intense Bible study they would Have been cured by the Holy Spirit.  Jesus is the great counselor and the great physician, not Erik Erikson, and not Sigmund Freud, and not any other therapist on the face of this earth.

Sigmond Freud could barely pay his own bills, but spent his life dedicated to making other people happy and well while his peers ridiculed him.

We are programmed to believe people can help us such as doctors, lawyers, police, etc…I programmed myself to believe that Jesus Christ is everything and that my life is “literally biblical”.

Do you think you Would be depressed if you had 20 million dollars?

Do you think you would be depressed if you had spent 20 million dollars on Psychiatry and therapy and still felt the same way as you did when you started?

How do you think you would feel if you spent several thousand dollars in several years in counseling and in the end realized you were the one that did all the work and really didn’t have much to do with counseling at all…

It really has everything to do with coming to the realization that some aspect of our life needs Improvement. That simple.  It’s the fact that we don’t want to address many aspects of Our Lives, and we don’t want to take a brutal inventory of ourselves,  or what our lives have become.  Truly what is holding most of us back from any kind of success is focusing on or dwelling on negative thoughts.

I mean really???…What?…

Here is a world-renowned psychiatrist who could not cure two people with 20 million dollars of treatment?…

The doctor did not think that Norman Spending his entire fortune on psychiatric therapy was going to cause more depression?…

What kind of doctor charges 20 million dollars for a service of therapy that does not work?…

Year-after-year, painting after painting, he kept making millions of dollars from inspiring millions of people.  Literally, all the man did was paint his paintings, and drive back and forth to the hospital for therapy that was not curing him?

Am I the only one that sees something it doesn’t seem to add up?  What kind of doctor takes 20 million dollars of someone’s money and can justify that a person still needs treatment?

What kind of doctor treats a person for 25 years and says the patient is a failure?

How many millions of dollars does it take to cure depression?

How many thousand??…

How many hours talking about the problem instead of working on the solution…

How much gas and time…

I have been there and I have done that….

In the end, me and Jesus did it all by ourselves with help from no one…

My children have helped me more than anyone on earth ever did…

I have seen counseling and therapy destroy people’s lives….

If there is no known cure for depression…

Then literally what on Earth is the point of therapy?

                             Therapy is a business.

This is the entire point of my Saturday night post. If you are even considering wasting your money in therapy it is my belief that you might consider spending more time with the Holy Spirit.

What if you told your psychiatrist that you could not afford any more therapy?

What if you told your therapist that this therapy financially devastated you?

Do you think they are going to help you for free?

Think again…They went into the business for 2 reasons…First and foremost it was their primary interest in life and chose that direction…

However, you do not know if they actually have integrity.

They could have gone into the business to control and manipulate …40% of psychiatrists commit suicide….41% are sued for malpractice.

They definitely went into the business of mental health to obtain above-average amounts of money. They did not invest years of time and money not to generate a return on their investment.

They operate a medical “practice” meaning they “practice” because there is no cure, only possibilities of solutions, management, and improvements.

People can do that on their own with…

The Holy Bible..

Self-Help educational videos, books, and online learning…

And of course…

The Holy Spirit.

If you are even thinking about wasting a single Dollar on therapy…You might think about seeking the Holy Spirit first. I personally  Have changed my life countless times and have survived many hardships, abuse, addictions, and each and every time stage of my life I was able to entirely rebuild reconstruct my life with prayer in-depth Bible study, and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Christians are usually oppressed in some way and this leads to forms of depression, eating disorders, addictions, sex, and so on…The reality is this…

Jesus Is the only counselor you will ever need. The bible is the best self-help book on the face of the earth..many people still to this day forget…

Parts of The Bible are the written words of GOD himself manifested in the flesh and other parts of the bible are words that GOD actually spoke.

The words in the bible are as relevant today as they were 2000 years ago…

A psychiatrist would tell you if you cannot see, feel or touch this GOD then this GOD is nonexistent…

Therefore making you clinically insane…
